Dr. Pamila Brar has practiced Internal Medicine in San Diego, California, since 1999, and has been in private practice since 2009.

Dr. Brar is a graduate of the Scripps Clinic Internal Medicine Residency Program and was named the Ellen Browning Scripps Chief Medical Resident in 1999 before joining the general division of Internal Medicine at Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines.  Dr. Brar is a graduate of the Louisiana State University School of Medicine.  She maintains her certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

In 2010, after starting her own concierge Internal Medicine practice, she sought training in holistic care, and became certified by the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine. This is in keeping with her goal to provide those under the care with a medical home where their needs and preferences are considered and honored while she guides them through the often daunting journey through the health care jungle.

She is President Elect of the American Academy of Private Physicians, a national group which provides advocacy for the direct patient-doctor relationship. She particularly enjoys educating patients and the public on relevant medical issues so that they can be empowered to make better healthcare decisions. In this arena, Dr. Brar frequently appears on local and national television, radio and print.

Dr. Pam loves every minute that she spends with her 2 daughters, Bella (11) and Sophia (9), and her partner, Jim.  She is a perpetual student and has incorporated meditation and exercise into her daily routine to “practice what she preaches.” Her own focus on personal wellness allows her to provide compassionate and wise care to her beloved patients, and she values being there when they need her.
