Ann Michelle Casco is Pacific Pearl La Jolla’s operations manager as well as our Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner and acupuncture provider. She is a Diplomate of Acupuncture and board-certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and California’s Acupuncture Board of Chinese Medicine.
Ann Michelle has 19 years of experience using acupuncture and Traditional Oriental Medicine in the treatment of internal medicine disorders, neuromuscular disorders, general orthopedic conditions, and pain management. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, she uses a holistic approach to complement traditional western medicine. After over a decade working with San Diego acupuncture practices and via her own practice, Ann Michelle joined Pacific Pearl La Jolla in 2014.
Ann Michelle received her master’s degree in Oriental Medicine and Holistic Health Practitioner Education from San Diego’s Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. There, she trained with Dr. Ming Qing Zhu, creator of Zhu Scalp Acupuncture.
Prior to becoming an acupuncturist, Ann Michelle earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management Administration from San Diego State University in 1993.
For 14 years, Ann Michelle specialized in the treatment of spinal cord injury and pain at Project Walk in Carlsbad, California. She had staff privileges at hospitals and rehab centers treating stroke patients with acupuncture to promote their recovery. She frequently uses acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine for patients looking to address challenges like asthma, back and joint pain, pain management, cardiovascular disease, and neuromuscular disorders. She is passionate about using acupuncture to optimize overall health and wellness.
