Alison J. Orozco is a Board-Certfied Family Nurse Practicioner who believes that quality patient
care begins with warmth, compassion, and respect. Alison attended Concordia University Chicago
in 2002 where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree. She went on to advance her
career by earning a Master of Science in Nursing Degree; and by graduating with honors from
Spring Arbor University, a liberal arts institution dedicated to integrating faith and learning. Alison
boasts a strong background in Cardiology with over twenty years of patient care experience.
As a Travel Nurse, Alison gained valuable skills caring for diverse populations in a wide variety of
settings, including Massachusetts General Hospital (Surgical Trauma Unit), Scripps Green Hospital
(Definitive Observation Unit), Midwest Heart Specialists (Outpatient Cardiology Clinic), and
Tampa Bay Heart Institute (Neuro and Stroke Unit). Notably, Alison recently earned her ten-year
pin at UC San Diego Health where she served in multiple roles including: Charge Nurse and Staff
Nurse in the Cardiac/Telemetry Progressive Care Unit, Care Coordinator in the Adult Congenital
Heart Program, and Telephonic Triage Nurse in the Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center. Her ability to
adapt quickly to new situations along with her congenial demeanor allowed her to make
significant advances in her career.
Alison was recognized for exemplary professionalism and nursing excellence when named the
recipient of the UC San Diego Health 2020 Patrons of Nursing Tuition Scholarship. She holds a
specialty certification in Adult Progressive Care and is an active member of the American
Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Nurses Association, and the American Association
of Critical-Care Nurses. Alison seizes opportunities to serve the community by using her gifts and
talents to care for vulnerable and underserved families through volunteer work with the homeless
population at Street Corner Care in San Diego, as well as her ongoing sponsorship of
poverty-stricken children through World Vision.
Alison consistently seeks opportunities to connect with patients on a deeper level, which she
believes is where true healing begins. Her affable nature and collaborative spirit have earned her
the admiration of patients, colleagues, and supervisors throughout her career. As a Nurse
Practitioner, Alison emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention. At Pacific Pearl, Alison
