Elizabeth Kaback, MD, is an integrative cardiologist with expertise in integrative cardiology, natural approaches to lipid management and congestive heart failure, with a special interest in the prevention of primary and secondary coronary artery disease. She has advanced training in Integrative Medicine and uses multi-modality treatments and techniques to provide patients innovative tools to reach their health goals. These tools include a combination of traditional approaches and nutritional strategies, supplements and exercise prescriptions as part of a health care plan. She has completed research in cell and vascular biology resulting in a continued interest in vascular biology, inflammation, genomics and proteomics.
Board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease, Dr. Kaback has been in practice for more than 20 years. Her training includes fellowships at University of Arizona Health Science Center, Integrative Medicine, 2010; Scripps Clinic, Cardiovascular Disease- General Cardiology, 1999; and Oregon Health Sciences, Cardiovascular Disease – Heart Failure/Transplant, 1996. Following graduation with a medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, 1992, her residency was at Oregon Health Sciences University. Dr. Kaback is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the San Diego area. Before joining Guarneri Integrative Health, Inc. at Pacific Pearl La Jolla, she was in practice at The Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine.
Dr. Kaback believes the patient and doctor are a team and need to work together in an open, honest, secure and warm environment to achieve maximum wellness, health and wholeness. She believes that healthy change can occur with a patient’s commitment to implement lifestyle changes and the combination of conventional medicine and integrative techniques to help her patients achieve their optimal self.
Her personal interests include hiking, cycling, skiing, traveling, art and spending time with her dogs, family and friends.
