Pacific Pearl Kundalini Yoga Instructor Mimi Trotter / Hari Das Passes into the Light
By Mimi Guarneri, MD
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved friend and staff member at the Pacific Pearl, Mimi Trotter or better known as Hari Das Kaur.
Hari Das was an earth angel who taught us the healing power of Kundalini Yoga and worked tirelessly to heal and support others on their spiritual journey.
Born in the Hawaiian Islands, Hari Das studied in Europe, and was trained in surgical nursing until 2002. Her life was love and service. Hari Das received her spiritual name from her spiritual teacher, and it means “The Servant of God.” Hari Das practiced and taught Kundalini yoga for over 30 years, bringing healing to many with her grace and encouragement. Her love and devotion were not only to the spiritual work but to her two sons, their families, and her lovely daughter who preceded transitioning to spirit years ago.
May her beautiful spirit soar to the light with the words that she sang at the end of each Kundalini class:
“May the long-time sun shine upon you, all love surround you, and the pure light within you guide your way home.”
Sat Nam
We also find solace in the words:
“Every soul starts from the Divine. The ultimate purpose of the
soul is to return to the Divine.”
Sri Sakthi Amma
Hari Das will be greatly missed by all at the Pearl, Dr. Guarneri, and Rauni who hired Hari Das nearly 20 years ago to teach Kundalini yoga at Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine and years later at Pacific Pearl La Jolla.
Sending Light and Love to All,
Dr. Guarneri, Rauni Prittinen King, and Colleagues at Pacific Pearl La Jolla
